Environmental video project kicks off in Beijing

A three-day video training course in Beijing to help young people to make videos about their environment concluded on Tuesday. It was attended by Chinese and non-Chinese students and marked the beginning of a three-month initiative.

Young people from China and the rest of the world will make videos in 16 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Kunming, Chengdu, Urumchi, Changsha, Taiyuan, Harbin, Nanjing and Haikou.
The project was jointly organised by chinadialogue.net and China’s Green Beat. Forty young people from China and the rest of the world will make bilingual video podcasts of around five to 10 minutes reflecting the environmental problems of each of the 16 cities.
