In one case, China’s State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA) said there were "many technical problems" in two environmental impact assessments on road projects in northwest China’s Xinjiang province.
The assessment reports were written by an environmental protection centre administered by the Ministry of Communications.
SEPA returned the two reports to the centre and suspended the license of environment impact assessment engineer Li Qiong for three months.
