Electronics firms ‘improve environmental record’

Nokia is still the greenest electronics company, environment group Greenpeace said last week, as it announced the industry has made "great improvements" on issues like toxics and recycling in the past year.

Greenpeace said that since last year’s guide to greener electronics, companies are competing to eliminate hazardous substances, as well as taking back and recycling their products responsibly.

The fifth guide sees Nokia continue to lead as the greenest company, with a score of eight out of 10, Sony Ericsson in second place and
Dell and Lenovo sharing the joint third ranking.
