Chaos in Copenhagen

Chaos reigns at the climate conference this morning. An estimated 40,000 people registered to attend the conference.  Expect to Queue for up to 6 hours if you’re unlucky enough to be in one. Rajendra Pachauri, who heads the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change this morning reportedly joined the list of climate luminaries denied access to the Bella Centre

Meanwhile the talks themselves reflect the chaos outside. The G77 has walked out of talks on Long-term Cooperative Action in protest at Danish attempts to merge the two negotiating tracks, fearing that this is an attempt to undermine and perhaps replace the Kyoto Protocol. More to follow as things develop throughout the day.
